Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Las Vegas tribute show keeps going strong in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.
The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.
In addition to being one of the biggest selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also composed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.
In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences across the globe through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.
Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.
Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Artist reviews and ratings dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.
In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.
What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”
He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.
Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.
Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
